Fernando Vega Torres (born 3 July 1984) is a Spanish professional footballer who plays for CD Lugo as a left back. ==Club career== Born in Arahal, Province of Seville, Vega started his career with Sevilla FC, playing two full seasons for its B-team in the third division. In 2005–06 he played with modest Lorca Deportiva CF in the second level, with the side eventually finishing fifth but being relegated the campaign after his departure. In July 2006 Vega joined Real Betis on a free transfer, and eventually became first-choice at the Andalusia club in his first season after ousting veteran Enrique Romero, and appeared in 31 La Liga matches apiece in the following two years, although Betis would be relegated in the second; he made his debut in the main category of Spanish football on 26 August 2006, coming on as a late substitute in a 1–2 away loss against Valencia CF.〔(El Valencia se lleva la primera victoria de la Liga (Valencia gets League's first win) ); El Mundo, 27 August 2006 〕 On 31 August 2011, after only participating in six league games (out of 42) as the ''Verdiblancos'' returned to the top flight after a two-year absence, he was released by the club even though he had a contract running until June 2014.
